Description: 
Straw yellow, a wonderfully complex, intense and beguiling olfactory profile on the nose. Notes of white peach mingle with citrus and floral scents, enhanced not only by a slight vegetal trace, but also and above all by an unmistakable mineral note. In the mouth, it is fresh, deep and structured. One sip chases the other thanks to an enviable balance, so firm and velvety. It closes with a crazy persistence on the palate, with citrus notes.

Municipality of Montefredane in the province of Avellino. Clayey-limestone soil. 

Vinification: 
Classic white wine vinification. Maturation in steel and in bottle. 

Food pairing: 
Greco di Tufo is an all-meal white wine that can accompany a wide variety of preparations. Excellent with vegetarian soups.

Sabino Loffredo's work over the last few years is truly prodigious and certainly indicates an absolute rigour and accuracy on the part of this young producer, but also a vocation of the Montefredane soils to peremptorily express themselves on the area's historic white grapes such as Fiano and, above all, Greco. But significant is how Sabino has climbed these heights in just a few years, given that his first vintage was barely 2000. In this rabid chase towards important results there is perhaps also a natural desire for revenge against a destiny that with a couple of accidents prevented him from a career as a sports champion, to which he strongly aspired. What we have gained, however, is a thoroughbred producer who combines in his 2006 white wines a northern beauty and intensity of fragrance (we are on high vineyards) with a creamy, enchanting full-bodiedness, all imbued with sweet and mineral notes. Greco di Tufo, then, with a beautiful impact on the palate that grows in length, savouriness and chewiness with every sip. And a Fiano then of peremptory elegance, creamy with summer fruit and honey, which veers into full pleasantness.
