Description: The wine impresses with its pronounced fruitiness, reminiscent of tropical fruit and peach. An excellent freshness gives the wine a certain longevity. The taste is elegant and clean, the structure balanced and with a harmonious aftertaste. Solaris is an innovative and ecological product, the enjoyment of which is a rare experience.
Grape varierty: Solaris - Alto Adige IGT Vigneto delle Dolomiti. An early and robust vine that, in its favourable climatic position, needs no plant protection and expresses its finest characteristics.
Production area: Vines of the disease-resistant variety Solaris, newly bred in Freiburg, grow at 1100 metres in the south of South Tyrol, in Altrei. The sunny terraces and the warm wind from Lake Garda allow the grapes to grow excellently. The soil consists of sand, loam and clay and is rich in nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium. The wine is pressed in the winery's cellar in Mazzon.
Vinification:
Food pairing: Solaris goes well with hors d'oeuvres, asparagus dishes, intense food such as roast fish and intense cheeses. Also excellent to be enjoyed outside meals or in company.
Serving temperature: 10 - 12°C.
Ageing potential: more than 5 years.

Producer: Kollerhof Winery For almost 150 years, Pinot Noir has been cultivated in Mazzon, a hamlet of Egna. No wonder, then, that the Kollerhof winery also focuses on this classic grape variety. Above all, but not only. While Pinot noir is the classic cornerstone of the Kollerhof winery, since 2015, a new grape variety has also been cultivated at the Anterivo facility. They chose Solaris, a vine that is resistant to powdery mildew and downy mildew and therefore does not require any defence treatments. The area offers optimal conditions for cultivation, plenty of sun and warm, mild southerly winds.
