Description:
Intense red colour. Spicy bouquet with a touch of orange peel and ripe red fruits. On the palate small red fruits with notes of tobacco and a finish with tannins in fine evidence.

Production area:
produced with grapes from 50-year-old saplings located between Manduria and the sea and cultivated by hand with special care and respect for the land according to biodynamic principles.
Vinification:
Fermentation in small vats with manual punching-down and temperature controlled at 28°C. Very soft traditional manual pressing. Matured in Allier oak barrels for 12 months. Matured in bottle for at least 8 months.
Food pairing:
a red wine to be paired with meat sauces or very well structured main courses.
Serving temperature:
16 - 18°C.

more than 5 years.

Since its foundation in 2000, the Apulian Morella winery has distinguished itself for its spontaneously artisanal production vision aimed at enhancing the territory of Manduria with its main grape variety: Primitivo. Key figures of the estate are Gaetano Morella and Lisa Gilbee, an Australian-born oenologist who came to Italy in 1992 and, after a series of work experiences around the country, decided to settle in Apulia, fascinated by the Primitivo saplings emerging from the red soil of Manduria. Gaetano and Lisa started this collaboration with the common aim of seeing Primitivo and the Manduria area get the recognition they deserve.
