Description

Description:
Full ruby red in color, mature and dense. An explosion of full, fruity perfumes and ripe dark fruit with ethereal hints and earthy odors, softened by toasted notes and tinges of minerals, spices, vanilla and butter. On the palate, it conveys what the bouquet promised. The high alcohol content exalts the full tannins and at the same time makes it seductively balanced and harmonious. A distinctly long and pleasant finish.

Grape variety:
Teroldego Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT.
Partially dessicadet grapes.

Production area:
Choice of grapes from the communes of Mezzolombardo and Mezzocorona. From vines trained in the traditional Trentino pergola style and from the winery’s historical “Masetto” vineyard with Guyotstyle vine training.

Vinification:
The drying process takes around three months during which the grapes lose 35% of their weight and attain an optimal grape sugar concentration. The stems are removed from the partially desiccated and cold bunches and the grapes are fermented at a controlled temperature of 10°. About 10 days later, fulling and the pumpover regime are begun and go on for about 30 days. Then the pomace is separated from the new wine, which continues its fermentation in small French oak barrels. Refinement takes some 20 months in oak barriques and is followed by six months of bottle fermentation.

Food pairing:
Excellent meditation wine, its qualities are especially appreciated with red meat and venison.

Serving temperature:
16 - 18°C.

Ageing potential:
more than 10 years.

Bottle to:
750 ml - 75 cl - 0,75 lt.

Allergens:
wine can contain sulphites.

Endrizzi Winery
an Michele all'Adige has been an important winemaking region since the Middle Ages: the Abbey’s Augustinian monks were the first to promote wine culture, tilling the ancient vineyards now part of the Endrizzi estate. In 1797, Napoleon had to fight a fierce battle to conquer Masetto. In 1885, Francesco and Angelo Endrici (Endrizzi in the local dialect) founded the winery in the Masetto area, where it remains to this day. True pioneers, they introduced two of the world’s finest grape species - Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot – in the early 1900s, while continuing to grow important local varieties such as Lagrein and Teroldego.

Lagrein Riserva 2019 - 12% vol. Nusserhof Bio Winery

Review(s): 0

Grape varierty: 100% Lagrein. Extended time in barrel softens the contours and yields an aromatically expressive, sikly Lagrein unlike none other know. One of Italy's truly great wines, the Lagrein Riserva is absolutely compelling. There is something very human. This is such an expressive, translucend style.Bottle to: 750 ml - 75 cl - 0,75 lt.
